Pool Downclimb
Length: 8 ft
More anchor information coming soon.
Overview
After the first rappel, crawl over a choke stone to a neat open room in the slot canyon. Then walk a few feet further to the downclimb. Downclimb a short distance to a possible swimmer. There usually is water in the pool at the bottom of this downclimb. The water depth can range anywhere from ankle-deep to above your head.
Tips
There is webbing here to use as a handline if you don't want to perform a scrunched-up downclimb.

Rappel 2
Length: 90 ft
Type of Rappel: Two-stage
Rappel 2 Anchor
There is a large juniper with webbing slung around it. A little past this anchor there are other anchor options from other junipers that will cause you to end the rappel further away from the possible pool at the bottom.
Overview
From the pool downclimb, walk out of the slot section of the canyon and back into the wide wash of Entrajo. Follow it back the way you came until you reach the top of the dry falls, which is preceded by a couple of potholes. When you reach the potholes, leave the bottom of the wash and hike up above the wash to the right. Just above the dry falls there are a couple of anchor options from juniper trees. The rappel from the first large juniper is the one described here. Rappel about 45 ft. down to a large landing and then down the final 45 ft. directly in the watercourse to a possible pool.
Tips
Be cautious of rope grooves and rope placement to facilitate the pull from the bottom.

Entrajo Canyon Trip Reports
August 13, 2021
We had a group of 6 when we did this canyon. It took us almost 2.5 hours. We moved pretty slow and had a couple of beginners with us. The large pool after the downclimb was chest-deep and chilly, but was very refreshing on a hot day. All anchors were in good condition. There are multiple anchor options for the 2nd and final rappel on the right-hand ridge above the dry waterfall. Fun and easy canyon.
